Exhibition “The Holocaust: Destruction, Liberation, Salvation”

Russian Holocaust Center with the support of the Institute “Just World” and Russian Jewish Congress has prepared a new historical-documentary exhibition "The Holocaust: destruction, liberation, salvation," which was exhibited at the Main Hall of Russian State Duma from 25 to 29 of January. The event was timed to the International Holocaust RemembranceDay and for the first time was held in the State Duma.
The exhibition featured over 70 unique photos, documents and drawings from the 15 archives, museums and foundations of 5 countries, including the Archive of the University of Leeds (UK), the Memorial "Shoah" (France), Foundation "Babi Yar" (Ukraine), Foundation Anne Frank (Switzerland).
Particular attention was paid to the history of the Holocaust in the occupied territory of the RSFSR. The role of the RedArmy in rescuing the prisoners of Auschwitz (the letter fragment of Otto Frank, father of Anne Frank, from 23 February 1945 on the form of Auschwitz was presented), on Soviet territory and in other countrieswas shown. Several booths were devoted to the fate of those who liberated the most terrible death camp, their lives before and after the war.
It is assumedto translate the exhibition in English and German with its demonstration in other countries.
